FLOOD alerts remain in place for areas close to Oswestry today (Monday, October 23) following a weekend of heavy rain.
An alert for the Severn/Vyrnwy Confluence was still in place earlier this morning after both rivers rose significantly on Friday.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: "Flooding is possible in this area.
"Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low-lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one."

According to GaugeMap.co.uk, levels at Crew Green, where the two rivers meet, peaked at 6.4 metres on Saturday (October 21) morning but have since started to fall slowly.
Meanwhile, a flood alert remains in place for the River Dee and its catchment around Chirk and Ellesmere.
A spokesperson for Natural Resources Wales said: "River levels are expected to be above normal.
"Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected.
"We will continue to monitor the situation."
