FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a north Shropshire pub this morning (Monday, October 23) after a fire broke out in the cellar.
The incident, reported as a property fire, happened at the Black Lion Hotel in Ellesmere at around 7.20am.
A spokesperson for Admiral Taverns, who are managing the property, said the incident has been dealt with.
They added: "We are aware there was a minor fire at the Black Lion which was alerted by the caretaker who called the fire brigade.

"This has now been dealt with.
"We are, however, in the process of securing the property prior to assessing how the fire started and completing a full audit."
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed three teams from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Wem were sent to the scene, along with an operations officer.
A spokesperson said: "This incident involved a fire in an electrical box in the cellar.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hosereel jet, one covering jet, a thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation."
The stop call to say no further assistance was required came in just after 8.30am.
