A SERVICE of thanks for the much-loved Whitchurch businessman Ray Grocott will now take place at a larger venue.

Originally planned for St Chad’s Church in Prees, a spokesman for the Grocott family confirmed that the number of people indicating their attendance has led to a decision to change the venue.

The tribute to Ray will now take place at the recently-opened Grocott Heritage Centre, in Station Road, Prees, which recently held an exhibition showing the many years of Ray’s career.
