RETIREMENT home residents and their families in Whitchurch have raised more than £500 with a Macmillan coffee morning.
Residents at Brookes Court, in Mill Street, held the coffee morning on Wednesday, September 13, ahead of the official nationwide day on September 29.
Sarah Haycocks, manager at the home, said she was delighted with the amount raised and thanked all those who attended.
“Yet another extremely prosperous Macmillan Coffee Morning was held at Brookes Court on Wednesday,” she said.

“We support the foundation annually, and we are delighted to disclose another impressive figure of just shy of £520.
“We would like to convey our gratitude to all of the family, friends and visitors in attendance who contributed monetarily, with wares and baked treats.
“Also, much appreciation to local businesses Gallery Flowers and Timpson for their generous donations.
“The event was well attended by homeowners, friends and family.”
The coffee morning raised £519.02 for the cancer charity.
