PLANS to build a new hangar at a north Shropshire airfield have been submitted to Shropshire Council.

The application, from Justin Griffiths at Sleap Airfield in Harmer Hill, near Wem, is for the construction of a new aircraft hangar at Bilmarsh Farm to Airfield Farm.

The plans are for the building to be constructed on the site of a former hangar, which is around 280 square metres, and an application form was submitted by bosses at the airfield.

OTHER NEWS:

The application states: “The proposal is to build a new portal framed aircraft hangar on the site of a former hangar on the already established site.”

It added: “The site is made up of a former hangar plot and hardcore yard area.”

Consultation on this application ends on Wednesday, September 27 and for anyone wishing to find out more information, search 23/03241/FUL at Shropshire Council’s planning portal.
