A WHITCHURCH charity shop manager has dedicated the monies raised from her charity skydive to her workmate and friend.

Sue Sealy decided she wanted to do a skydive for charity and recently carried out the daredevil feat, naming friend and colleague Sarah Hughes as her inspiration.

Sarah lost her leg in 2014 due to Sarcoma cancer and has been benefitting from working with The Amputation Foundation, a unique charity based on Merseyside.

Sue said she was delighted to do it for her.

"My source of inspiration for this fundraiser, a Skydive, is my dear friend and colleague Sarah,” said Sue, who is a manager at the Headway Charity Shop in Whitchurch.

“She is an amazing woman with such positivity and courage.

“Sarah has attended challenge weekends with the amputation foundation and if my fundraiser can help more amputees enjoy one of these weekends I will have achieved something really special for them.

"It really was an awesome experience, the best bit was falling from the plane.

“I want to do it again – I really enjoyed it and managed to raise more than £1,000.

“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me.”

Sarah, who is from Whitchurch, was delighted by Sue’s jump and explained the importance of working with the charity.
