The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Whitchurch with a band of heavy rain expected.

The warning has been issued for tomorrow (August 14) as the bad weather is expected to hit the region from early in the morning through until late in the evening.

The Met Office has warned that there will be "rain, heavy and persistent at times, bringing the risk of disruption to transport and infrastructure."

They have also warned that there is a "small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings."

They added that "spray and flooding is likely to lead to some difficult driving conditions and road closures".

This could lead to transport issues as "where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services" and that "there is a small chance that some communities will be temporarily cut off by flooded roads".
