POLICE are appealing for information from commuters using a train that calls through north Shropshire after a man was allegedly seen performing a sex act on himself.
British Transport Police (BTP) say the incident took place on the Manchester Piccadilly to Swansea line at 9.50pm on Sunday, May 7.
The wanted man got on the train at Hereford, but police are calling for information from anyone who may have seen him as they travelled from Cheshire and Shropshire to South Wales.
A BTP spokesman said: “Do you recognise this man?
“Officers investigating an incident involving a man masturbating on board a Manchester Piccadilly to Swansea train have released an image in connection.
“The incident occurred at around 9.50pm on Sunday, May 7.
“A man boarded the train at Hereford and sat adjacent to the victim.

“She could see the man was masturbating before he left the train at Cardiff Central.
“Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation.”
