PEOPLE were alarmed to see that the River Dee turn a murky orange colour in recent days.
People took to social media to discuss the river's colour change in the Deeside area. There were concerns that the colour may have been sewerage.
The colour change was also present in the river running through Chester.
Councillor Matt Carter, of the Handbridge Park Ward, said on Facebook: "A number of residents have been in touch regarding a change in colour to the River Dee.
"The best way to get this investigated to check if something has contaminated the River is to call the Environment Agency on 0800807060
"The more people who contact with concerns about it the higher chance the Environment Agency will investigate."

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has said officers have been monitoring the situation.

David Powell, duty manager for North Wales said: “Following reports of red, cloudy water in the River Dee in the Chester area on Saturday, we can confirm the discolouration was caused by heavy localised rainfall in various parts of the River Dee catchment on May 11.
“NRW officers have been monitoring the plume.”
