POLICE have appealed for information following a robbery near Whitchurch.

The incident took place in Mill Street in Prees and occurred at approximately 4.40pm on Tuesday (May 9).

Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) has called on people to come forward if they have any information or footage of the incident.

PCSO David Andrew said: "On Tuesday afternoon at approx 4.40pm a man was robbed on Mill Street in Prees. 

"The description we have of the suspect is that he is between 5ft8 and 5ft10 and wearing a yellow fluorescent jacket with the hood up, a black peaked cap, a dark scarf over his face and black work trousers.

"He ran up Mill Street towards the play park and entered a dark blue car similar to a Vauxhall Astra or a Renault Clio which then drove off past the park in Prees towards the railway station.
