A ROADSHOW event to ask the people of Whitchurch about Shropshire Council's latest cycling and walking proposals will head to town next week.

The Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) aims to improve the safety, comfort and attractiveness of walking and cycling in the county.

There are a number of proposals in Whitchurch and the surrounding area.

The roadshow for people to have their say on the plans will take place outside the Civic Centre on Tuesday, May 9 between 1.30pm and 5pm.

Whitchurch Town Council clerk, Mike McDonald said: "Drop in for a chat about Shropshire Council's Cycling and Walking Proposals when we host the in-person roadshow at the front of the Civic Centre on Tuesday, May 9 from 1.30 to 5pm.

"It is part of the public consultation on the county-wide Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).

"It is a long-term plan, aimed at dramatically improving the safety, comfort and attractiveness of walking and cycling in the county.
