AN ELLESMERE business has been thanked for its support for a community food share project, after it helped raise hundreds of pounds.

ABP Food Group, based at Hordley, near Ellesmere, raised £535 from their Easter Raffle that included hampers, Easter eggs and a cuddly rabbit as prizes.

Lynda Walford, HR manager at ABP, said that they were delighted to be able to support the Food Share for a second time following their generous donation at Christmas.

She added: “We wanted to organise an Easter raffle for our fabulous employees and donate all monies raised to the local foodbank, which continues to work hard to support the community.

“As a local employer we feel it's extremely important to support and work within the community.
