COUNCILLORS in Whitchurch have given their backing to a Parliamentary bill to tackle climate issues.
Members of the town council last week voted to support the Climate and Ecology Bill which is currently going through Parliament.
The bill requires the UK to meet its climate and nature targets.
There was one vote against the bill and an abstention, but a majority of councillors voted to back the motion.

Town clerk, Mike McDonald said: "Caring for our environment has never been more important.
"That's why, at our full council meeting [on Thursday] Whitchurch Town Council backed a motion to support the Climate and Ecology Bill that is currently in Parliament.
"Together, we can change tomorrow."
