A POSTCODE on the edge of Whitchurch was among the lucky winners in the Postcode Lottery this week.
Residents in Alkington joined other households across the UK to win prize money when their postcode came up trumps on Friday, March 3.
The Alkington residents in postcode SY13 3NE joined 19 homes across the UK to pick up £1,000 - but it didn't quite match the success of a household from Sheffield which scooped £35,000.
The People's Postcode Lottery said: "Friday is finally here.
"Players in these 20 lucky postcodes will surely be celebrating their daily prize win this weekend.
"They scooped an amazing £1,000 per ticket."
The People's Post Code Lottery emphasised that money it makes will go to good causes in the UK and abroad.
