A WEATHER warning for fog has been issued by the Met Office across parts of north Shropshire this morning (Friday, December 2).

The yellow alert covers Wem, Prees and Whixall.

It is part of a larger warning which covers large swathes of the West Midlands, North East and south into Devon.

The alert will remain in place until 11am.

The Met Office has warned that it may bring some difficult travel conditions with slower journey times and delays.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Areas of fog will continue to bring large areas of poor visibility, falling to less than 100m in places.

"The fog is expected to clear from the east during Friday morning."
