TWO north Shropshire men have admitted inflicting actual bodily harm on different people during an incident in the spring.
But Owen Batha and Jude Roberts will not face trial over further charges that they denied, and will instead be sentenced in due course over the offences they have admitted.
Batha, 20 and formerly of Scotland Street in Ellesmere but now of Shrewsbury, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Tuesday, November 15, alongside 21-year-old Jude Roberts, from Brownlow Street in Ellesmere.
Batha admitted an assault on Isabel Wellings, while Roberts pleaded guilty to an assault on Brandon Black, and a charge of affray.

Both men pleaded not guilty to the first charge of assaulting Mr Black while Batha also denied a second charge of actual bodily harm. Roberts denied assaulting Miss Wellings, but did accept a charge of affray.
Judge Peter Barrie told the pair that it had been accepted by the Crown that both were culpable only for the offences they admitted and therefore would not be proceeding to trial.
No date was given for trial as both are also concerned in other offences, and will be sentenced upon the completion of those cases.
