THE owner of a sustainable lifestyle store has announced she will be opening a new store in Whitchurch alongside her brother.

Maddie Ashbrook is the owner of MOO and BOOM in Green End.

But she has now revealed her her younger brother, Jonjo will be joining her in opening and running JB and BOOM, a men's sustainable lifestyle store which will be coming to High Street very soon.

They have not confirmed a date for when the store will be opening although they hope to open in early November.

Jonjo is only 18 and has just finished college and his older sister spoke about him taking the plunge.

Maddie said: "Yes we have been holding this in for a while.

"Everyone meet my not so little brother Jonjo, he has taken the plunge and joined me in creating JB and BOOM, a men’s sustainable lifestyle store.

"We are still in a renovation process and have taken on one of the new units on the High Street in Whitchurch.

"We will be showcasing the male side of MOO and BOOM.

"Homeware, men's clothing, men’s grooming, furniture and so much more."

Maddie described the new venture as exciting.

"It is really exciting, it is definitely what the town needs," she said.

"It's a fully sustainable lifestyle, so it is literally going to be the male aspect of MOO and BOOM."

Even though they haven't got a date for the opening of the store, Maddie said people will be able to keep up to date with the renovation on social media and she thanked people in the town for their support.

She said: "We are still waiting on a date but give us a follow on Instagram and Facebook so you can see the renovation process and be up-to-date on the opening of our new store.

"Thank you so so much for all our amazing customers support over the last 18 months we couldn't do this without you."

Maddie first set up MOO and BOOM in 2020 and went on to be one of the last six finalists of the Federation of Small Business (FSB) Awards in the West Midlands as a start-up business for 2022 earlier this year.

Speaking in March 2022, her mother Stella said: "I was delighted.

"She work's incredibly hard and it was a massive commitment taking on the size of this building.

"It is all her work and she has done really well.

"Sustainability seems to be on everybody's thought process at the moment.

"Whitchurch is really supportive, so all really good."
