FOOD, glorious food, will be the hot top when Wem Civic Society meets next week.

The meeting on Tuesday, September 20, will take place in Wem Town Hall in High Street, when changing eating habits and convenience food are going to be the topic of discussion and the speaker is Kath Reynolds.

Shelagh Richardson, the secretary of Wem Civic Society, said people will get to discuss foods they love and hate.

She added: "Our changing eating habits and convenience foods in our diet is the topic of the talk at the next meeting of Wem Civic Society on Tuesday, September 20, starting at 7.30pm in Wem Town Hall.

"From fish fingers to Angel Delight, Camp coffee to Chianti in a basket, Spam to salmon paste, all the things we have loved and some of those we have hated.
