PIZZA chain Domino's has remained tight-lipped on talk that it could open a new store in Whitchurch after job advertisements were posted on an online forum highlighting the plans.

An advertisement shared on the Friends of Whitchurch Shropshire group on Facebook seemed to indicate that the fast food chain was preparing to open a new branch in the town.

The ad indicated that the branch was looking to recruit for management vacancies.

However, Domino's refused to be drawn on when any store could open – and where it would be – when approached by the Herald.

But a spokesman for the chain added: "Domino's Pizza is recruiting for a variety of local management positions in our stores near you thanks to an expansion of a local franchise group.

"We offer competitive pay and bonus schemes, alongside an unmatched career path in the fast-food industry.

"Positions currently available are store manager at £30,000 a year and a performance related bonus scheme and two assistant managers, earning £23,000 a year and a performance related bonus scheme.

"Working for us can offer you a welcoming environment with a close team culture and rewarding leadership opportunities."
