FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a gas leak at McDonalds in Whitchurch this morning.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call at 6.07am today (August 20), with high levels of carbon monoxide showing on a meter used at the restaurant.
“Fire control received a call reporting an incident classified as gas leak in Whitchurch,” SFRS said in a statement released on their website.
“One fire appliance was mobilised from Whitchurch. Attending crews used the following equipment: positive pressure ventilation
“High levels of carbon monoxide showing on meter. Cylinder isolated and crews used fan to vent the restaurant. The stop message was received at 07.05pm.”
