A CHESHIRE retirement community welcomed broadcasting legend Gloria Hunniford to its 'Summer Celebration' as it gave guests a glimpse of the latest phase of its development.

Gifford Lea in Tattenhall welcomed the TV star on Thursday, August 11, following the completion of the site's Phase 3 build by contractor, Seddon. The event was also a chance for visitors to learn more about life at the village, explore the brand-new show homes and see the rest of the state-of-the-art facilities on offer.

As the special guest, Hunniford took part in a Q&A where she shared stories about her exciting career in TV and radio, as well as tips on how to stay feeling young and make the most of retirement.

Guests were able to enjoy a drink’s reception, live music, a classic sports car on display and the sun shining over the village centre.

A barbeque lunch rounded up the day where guests got to enjoy the sunshine before having the opportunity to explore the newest phase of the village.
