FIREFIGHTERS remain at a house in Malpas after a blaze broke out on Thursday (Aug 4).
The incident in Love Lane happened at around 12.30pm and at its height saw 10 fire crews from Cheshire, North Wales and Shropshire in attendance.
The latest update from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service came at 6.30am on Friday morning and said there was just one pump at the scene now.
A spokesperson added: "The crews continued to work through the night, salvaging items, removing roof tiles and wall lining.
"There were two fire engines remaining at the scene from just before 10.45pm with the crews damping the affected areas and using a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.
"The incident was reduced to one pump just before 6am today and a fire investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire."
The blaze could be seen from neighbouring properties and centred on the roof space of the house.
