POLICE have warned residents in Whitchurch to be vigilant after a dangerous dog escaped from kennels in the town.
The dog is thought to be a male, tan-coloured Staffordshire bull terrier which escaped on Monday, August 1.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said the dog was last seen near Hollinwood at 8.50am on Tuesday, August 2.
They added: "We’re asking our communities to be vigilant after a dog escaped from local kennels in Whitchurch, Shropshire on Monday, August 1.

"The dog is thought to be a male, tan-coloured Staffordshire bull terrier cross and is dangerous.
"It was last seen near to Hollinwood, Shropshire at around 8.50am this morning (August 2).
"Officers are asking the public not to approach the dog but to report sightings to us by dialling 999 quoting incident number 475i of August 1."
