RESIDENTS with CCTV in the Aston Road area of Wem are being urged to help a man who says he was assaulted late on Thursday night.
One local resident took to social media to request help after he said he was assaulted walking from the town's rail station towards Orchard Way.
He says police are aware of the incident but he needs CCTV help as he was unable to clearly describe his attacker, who he believes is male, and may have been linked to a female he was accompanying.
He said: "Does anyone have CCTV in this spot here or nearby?
"I was assaulted last night and I'd love to get a look at the 'scrot' who did it.
"The incident has been reported to the police I just couldn't give a great description.
"Also if you are the lady I was accompanying from the train station last night please get in touch, I'd love to know if you are ok."
Commenters shared the post and he assured them that there was no lasting damage.
