A WEM construction company has been dissolved and 29 jobs have been lost after it was placed into liquidation.

Hawk Developments (UK) Ltd was founded in 1997 and had been based in The Grange in Aston Street.

The company was placed into liquidation on Wednesday, June 15 and Mike Kienlen and Daryl Warwick of accountancy firm, Armstrong Watson LLP were appointed joint liquidators.

A spokesperson for Armstrong Watson LLP said the Hawk Deveopments Ltd ceased trading prior to the involvement of the accountancy firm.

They added: "I can confirm that Hawk Developments (UK) Ltd was placed into Creditors Voluntary Liquidation on 15 June 2022 and that Mike Kienlen and Daryl Warwick of Armstrong Watson LLP were appointed joint liquidators.

"I can also confirm that the company had ceased trading prior to our involvement and that all 29 employees of the company had been made redundant at the end of May 2022."

Earlier in the year Hawk developments began work on a £4 million housing development for 27 new homes and it involved Shropshire Council, Prees Parish Council and the Wrekin Housing Group.
