WEM residents will be receiving better broadband thanks to recent work being carried out by a telecommunications company in the town.

Fibre Heroes, part of the company Full Fibre Limited, is helping bring unlimited and ultra-fast internet to Wem and hopes to reach everyone in the town.

The company also hopes to end the poor network connection many people face in rural areas and bridge the digital divide between them and cities.

Jordan Rousell, senior marketing executive for Full Fibre, said the company want to experience stress-free full fibre broadband.

He added: "Fibre Heroes has made unlimited and ultrafast internet a viable option for thousands of residents living in Wem, with the plan to reach everyone in the town.

"Offering a range of internet service providers (ISPs), the wholesale network provider has created a choice for local residents when it comes to their internet connection.

"All customers can rely on consistent ultrafast broadband, thanks to Fibre Heroes.

"It’s time to say goodbye to poor network connection and the dreaded loading wheel when streaming games and films.

"This latest announcement means thousands of people can experience stress-free full fibre broadband."

FullFibre’s national build director, Dan Jones said the technology will be beneficial.

He said: "Fibre Heroes was established as a network provider to connect under-served towns, helping to improve and potentially modernise local attractions and societies that towns like Wem are known for.

"Wem is one of many towns that we are very excited to reach with the hope that the new technology will enhance community connection and everyday living."
