THE WHITCHURCH Branch of the League of Friends to The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt raised over £500 at a recent event.

Dr Lucy Witter from Cheshire Wildlife Trust shared tips on how to become pollinator friendly in gardens at a spring charity event which was held recently in Tilstock Village Hall.

Lady Kenyon, president of the League of Friends of RJAH welcomed the attendees to the event and people who attended learnt about the role of bees and pollinators and were able to meet friends and share refreshments and cakes provided by committee members.

She added: "We want to thank Lucy for sharing her knowledge and passion for pollinators, we’re delighted to raise over £500 for the hospital whilst discovering ways to invite bees into our garden.

"Many of our supporters are keen gardeners and are looking forward to exploring more plants to attract insect."

The next fundraising event for The League of Friends, Whitchurch Branch, will be a summer coffee morning and it will be on Saturday, June 25 at Gredington Hall in Hamner.
