ELLESMERE Ladies Circle has folded after failing to attract new members to give it new life.
An appeal was made in April by the Ladies Circle, which was a social group for women under 45, affiliated to the Round Table.
A spokeswoman for the group, which would meet monthly to try new activities and also fundraise for local groups and charities, said: "Different generations of the Ellesmere group have been meeting together for more than 50 years but after not meeting for two years because of Covid, the age demographic has crept up and no new members have joined.

"We did put up a social media notice on Ellesmere Community News Facebook, which generated a little interest, but not enough to keep the group going."
