WHITCHURCH has a new mayor and deputy mayor following a vote by Whitchurch Town Council.
Councillor Andy Hall was voted in as new mayor at the annual town meeting, stepping up from his previous role as deputy mayor of Whitchurch.
Cllr Rose Hall was voted in by the town council to become the new deputy mayor.
The mayor said he had priorities for the council including unity.

He said: "I believe that we now have now have a forward-thinking, united Town Council, which has welcomed new Councillors, a newly appointed Proper Officer and has a committed staff team.
"Together, with a shared vision and values, we can now get on with the job of delivering a real difference for the people of Whitchurch."
