CAN you believe it but Easter has passed and we are on the cusp of May already.

Time is of course relative but it does not seem that long ago we were all wishing each other Merry Christmas.

With a quarter of 2022 already behind us it would be fair to say that a quieter summer and winter would be appreciated by all.

From the pandemic to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the cost of living crisis in the United Kingdom, it has been a very tough two years.

Of course all we can do is change what we can and accept the things we cannot.

With that in mind we all have it within us to make a difference to those around us and the areas we call home.

We can call in and ask if a neighbour needs anything from the shop or just check up on them and enjoy a friendly chat. It certainly makes the world of difference.

We can join a local group and share our skill sets and personalities with others. Who knows, you may make a friend for life.

We can start a project in our community and make it a culturally richer place to live and raise our children.

We can all chip in to ensure our communities are kept clean and educate the next generation to take care of their towns and villages while perhaps campaigning for more investment into our area.

Ultimately it is difficult to make the world a better place.

However it is within all our grasp to not make it any worse than it already is.
