ELLESMERE'S Beech Grove is getting ready to welcome a whole world of fun to the town next month with the arrival of a touring play site.

Funtopia – dubbed the big day out for little kids – is coming to Ellesmere for the first time on Sunday, May 22 and is designed specifically for under-10s providing high-energy fun on inflatables, nerf gun wars, a driving school and more.

There will also be an area for those under five area with role play zones too, while parents are fully encouraged to join in.

Sarah Green, owner of Funtopia, is promising a great day for all involved.

She said: "We’ve been touring with Funtopia since 2016 and have wanted to bring our fun-filled festival to Ellesmere for a while.

Every year we return to our sites and see our mini Funtopians another year older, it’s like a giant family that meets up every summer.

We’re so excited for Ellesmere to be part of our Funtopia Tour Family.

"I created Funtopia, to offer families a very reasonable day out filled with fun for both the kids and grown ups.

Last summer was amazing, after spending the previous 12 months in and out of lockdown, the whole nation was so pleased to be able to get out and spend quality time with their families.

"We were very fortunate that Funtopia could help to provide those memories for our visitors.

"We can’t wait to revisit our sites and see everyone enjoying Funtopia again."

All wristbands for the for the day are pay on the gate and for children under 90cm it is free and £10 for those above.

Adults pay £2.50 and Funtopia will return to Ellesmere in July.
