A POPULAR plant fair will be returning to Cholmondeley Castle later this month.

The Plant Hunters Fair will take place in the gardens of the popular tourist site in Cheshire on Sunday, April 24 from 10am to 5pm.

Janet Blow, from the Plant Hunters Fair, said the group are excited to be back and hopes the warmer air will attract a big crowd.

She added: "We are really excited to be back at wonderful Cholmondeley Castle Gardens.

"Tickets are now available with a special reduced entry charge on the day for the gardens and plant fair of just £4.50.

"It is a great time to get out in the garden and get planning and planting for the year ahead and where better to get inspiration than at this Plant Hunters Fair.

"The plants are lovingly grown by small specialist nurseries who at this time of year will come laden with flowering bulbs, early flowering perennials, shrubs and trees to provide instant colour and lots of later flowering plants to get planted for colour into the summer and beyond.

"Now is the time to think ahead and plan that dream border for your garden.

"These enthusiastic plants people are on hand to give honest, straightforward advice on choosing and growing the right plants for your garden."
