A former darts champion, Edward 'Ted' Hankey has been charged by police with the sexual assault of a woman in Cheshire last year.
54-year-old Hankey of Wendover Grove, Berry Hill, Stoke-on-Trent was charged in relation to an incident that occurred in Cheshire in September 2021.
The Crown Prosecution Service made the decision to charge Hankey after reviewing a file of evidence from Cheshire Constabulary.
He has been released on bail and will appear before Warrington Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 6.
