WELCOME to your latest offering from the camera club.

Each week our intrepid visual story tellers venture out into the world and capture what they find beautiful or interesting for prosperity.

Photography is indeed a skill but the uncanny ability to see something and appreciate it for its beauty or artistic merits truly is an ability which should be applauded.

Of course we are fortunate that postcard pictures seem to be around every corner in our stunning part of the world.

Some would call our rurality a drawback but it could also be said it is one of our greatest strengths.

Certainly being so close to nature is in our genes, in our blood and something we have all grown up with.

This is something we should embrace in 2022 as much as our ancestors have done throughout the ages.

For the merits can easily be felt.

A walk in the woods, a stroll in the hills or a wander down a local canal route is always assured to make you return home happier than you left.

The physical benefits can not be disputed but in these times of anxiety it is also reassuring to venture out, reassess the world and our place in it and our own priorities.

By the time you return home the world is not such a scary place and maybe, just maybe, you have made a new friend.
