A MAN was given oxygen at the scene in Grindley Brook after a road traffic collision (RTC) between two cars and a heavy goods vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

One crew of firefighters from Whitchurch was sent to the scene outside the Horse & Jockey pub, in Grindley Brook, on the Shropshire/Cheshire border on the A41 shortly after 2.45pm.

Firefighters sent to the crash administered oxygen to one male driver while an ambulance was called, and police were in attendance.

A stop signal for more assistance was sent shortly after 3pm.

It is the second RTC to occur outside the pub within seven days.
