RESIDENTS of a Malpas care home have been visited by a four-legged friend in her duties as a therapy dog.

Labrador Dash and her owner Zoe are from the charity Pets As Therapy (PAT) and they visited Prospect House Care Home, High Street, to provide comfort and companionship and more.

Dash's presence often leads to staff and their charges talking about their pets and according to Joe Ward, activities manager at Prospect House, she has a positive impact on residents with dementia.

"When Dash walks into the home everyone becomes a lot happier," said Joe.

"She brings so much joy and love to our residents.
