AN AUTHOR is looking to move closer to her Whitchurch-based daughter because she is suffering from cancer.

Deborah Hawkins has Stage Three lymphoma and is unable to take chemotherapy because of pre-existing conditions and allergic drug responses.

Deborah currently lives in Congleton, Cheshire but wants to relocate to areas close to Whitchurch to be closer to her daughter, Jade, who lives in Fauls Green and is her carer.

Deborah said she hopes to find a property that can accommodate her needs, such as a stairlift, a wet room and somewhere offering quiet.

She added: "My daughter Jade lives in Shropshire near Whitchurch.

"She is also my carer and because of the recent diagnosis, I am now on a mission to find somewhere to live and rent privately closer to my daughter.

"I am looking for a landlord who can offer me a property close to the postcode SY13 preferring a quiet location due to being unwell and being a writer.

"I must have a shower cubicle or wet room and if it's a house, straight stairs to be able to fit a stair lift."

Deborah recently published her autobiography, Pursued by the Soul-Destroyer, which can be found on Amazon.

She is the mother of five other children and a grandmother to seven, and is trying to remain positive despite what she is currently going through.

Deborah added: "I am the mum to six amazing children who recently gave me a wonderful surprise and the whole family came together for the first time in years.

"I am the nana to seven grandchildren.

"I hope in the face of cancer that I can continue to show courage, love and above all grace.

"I appreciate every day I have."

She added: "Cancer is a word that is often feared by people and for good reason.

"It has a devastating impact upon the whole family.

"I am a positive person and do not want cancer to define who I am.

"The love of my family and God's love defines who I have become and who I am now.

"It is through love that I have learnt to be kind and compassionate to others, love has what has held my family together through the tough times, and love will keep me going."
