A WHITCHURCH businesswoman has admitted having North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan open her new premises has helped continue a nice theme.

Sarah Hand owns Harmony Beauty/Sports/Holistic Therapies Salon, and officially opened a new premises in 10 Watergate Arcade for her expanding business.

Former MP Owen Paterson was on hand to perform the opening duties first time around when Sarah opened her first salon, and now Mrs Morgan has stepped up, joined by Councillor Andy Hall, deputy mayor of Whitchurch.

Sarah was pleased to be officially opening and said she has had many bookings since opening at her new premise.

She said: "It feels amazing, I can't believe it actually after everything that has passed through the years.

"I am chuffed that people have come out as well.

"Last time I opened, Owen Paterson came out to me so it was nice that Helen came.

"I am fully booked, fully booked for the next two weeks.

"Everyone wants to get out again."

Sarah paid tribute to local business, who were essential to helping set up the shop.

She added: "I would like to thank Chris Chase, Discount Carpets and Steve Jukes for helping me set up.

"We are committed to using local businesses and we appreciated the time they have taken to help set us up."

There have been many worries about the future of the high street.

Mrs Morgan praised Sarah for her success.

Mrs Morgan added: "It was fantastic to meet Sarah and hear about how her business is growing and expanding.

"I’d like to thank her for the invitation and it was a pleasure to cut the ribbon and officially open the new salon.

"Whitchurch is a fantastic and vibrant town and it is truly great to have a local business success story, despite these difficult times for our high streets.

"I wish Sarah the best of luck for the future and hope her business continues to thrive."
