POLICE in Whitchurch made two arrests for drink-driving on Sunday evening.

The North Shropshire policing team were called after two separate collisions in the town were reported.

The first saw a man arrested after a vehicle collided with a parked car and the driver blew 87 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

He was taken into custody to provide a further evidential reading.

Then an hour later police were called to another collision.

They said: "The male attempted to leave the scene but was followed by a member of the public.

"After a reading of 91 he was arrested for drink driving and is making his to custody."
