SHROPSHIRE firefighters were on call to give their Cheshire neighbours support after reports of a property fire in Malpas on Saturday night.
One crew from the Whitchurch station was sent over the county border at 9.50pm to provide Cheshire Fire, from Malpas, assistance with the fire in an outbuilding at a property in Dodds lane, Childlow.
On arrival the crews found a small amount of straw involved and used one hose reel to extinguish it and a thermal imaging camera to check the area.
Firefighters were at the scene for around one hour before the stop signal was given.
