ELLESMERE Rotarians have been able to play their part in a wider appeal for refugees fleeing war-torn Ukraine.
The club has been taking part in the Ukraine Appeal with bucket collections across the town, with the goal of putting money into the The Rotary Disaster Appeal.
Carole Smith, from the club, took to social media to thank all those who have helped the club raised thousands of pounds.
She said: "After bucket collections in aid of the Ukraine Appeal, Ellesmere Rotary have been able to deposit £2,500 into The Rotary Disaster Fund on Tuesday.
"Our heartfelt thanks for the generosity of our community members and all who participated in the fund raising.
"Every penny collected will be put to good use towards assisting in this humanitarian effort."
Meanwhile, a postbox in the town has been decorated in Ukrainian colours by the town's yarn bombers.
