A GROUP offering a space circle space to women and children will start in the town next week.

The 'healing event' will be spread across two Wednesdays in January – one for women and one for girls aged 12 and above – and will be organised by Georgie Adams, a counsellor who is studying music.

She says the space, being held at the Mere Cafe in Church Street, will allow women and girls to be 'fully heard' and share experiences, knowledge and wisdom with others.

Georgie said: "Our first women’s circle takes place on Wednesday, January 19, at the Mere Café, in Ellesmere, from 7pm until 9pm.

"Please bring a blanket and a candle, also suitable footwear for walking.

"Our first GIRLS circle take place on Wednesday, January 26 at the Mere café, from 6:30-8:30pm, suitable for ages 12 plus.

"Please bring a blanket, candle and suitable footwear for walking.

"I look forward to honouring your journey with you, spread your love and stay groovy."

Georgie recently completed an advanced level four diploma in counselling and currently studying a BSC HONS in Music and Sound, and has a passion for healing through music and creativity.

She has also obtained a number of qualifications that will support the offering of safe circles, such as safeguarding for adults and children.

Georgie has spent a number of years helping community projects thrive within Shropshire and Wrexham.

She added: "After spending much of 2020/21 studying and healing, 2022 is about combining passion for creativity, healing and bringing folk together through universal love."

She is also planning to make the nights a long-term event – head to https://www.facebook.com/groups/1566797873595553 for more.
