A FAMILY of fundraisers from Ellesmere are once again thanking the community for its support in raising hundreds of pounds before Christmas.

Tracy Rowlands, who with her family arranged for Father Christmas and his sleigh to be taken around the streets of Ellesmere, says they have raised more than £400.

The family, who famously kept up spirits for Ellesmere youngsters during the 2020 lockdown with Dily the Dinosaur, presented a cheque to Ducklings Pre School and Tracy added the rest has gone to foodbank items.

She said: "Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us.

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the army of volunteers who helped us this year – we couldn't do it without you and thank you for giving up your time and making the kids smile.

"A special mention to the Rainbows girls you were all brilliant.

"A massive thank you to Ben Williams for all the help and for driving Santa around , and for also sorting lots of other things.

"Thank you to Chicky Parry-Jones for donating the sweets again this year – very much appreciated.

"Thanks to Brian from Ariel solutions for donating the money for the generator and thanks to Gary Struggles for doing Santa for us this year – you were brilliant.

"Many thanks to everyone involved in bringing Santa to Ellesmere."
