Ladies from a Whitchurch golf club have raised £1,000 for a care centre which supports elderly people and those with learning disabilities.
The ladies raised the money for the Whitchurch-based, Bradbury Care Centre, through fundraisers and competitions.
Club member, Dawn Minshull, said the club was delighted to help raise such a fine figure for the centre in Claypit Street.
She said: “The Lady Captain of Hill Valley Golf Club nominates her preferred charity at the start of the golfing year, through competitions and fundraising events £1,000 was raised by the Ladies section in 2021.
“The Lady Captain, Beverley Copeman was delighted to present the cheque to Mandy Silveston from the Bradbury Care Centre in Whitchurch who provide care and support for the local elderly community.”
