The Whitchurch bypass is set to close overnight for two weeks next month, Shropshire Council has confirmed.
The bypass, one of the main routes through north Shropshire, will closed between 8pm and 6am between January 10 and January 24.
The closure will be from the Chester Road roundabout to the junction for Wrexham Road, the council said.
And the plans could have a knock-on effect for road users heading into the town, as Wrexham Road will be used as a diversion for traffic, with a one-way system in place while the work is going on.
The closure is to allow resurfacing work to take place on the bypass.
The Council said a diversion would be set up, along with a temporary one-way system on Wrexham Road to reduce disruption.
