A CHARITY near Whitchurch is getting festive and fundraising at the same time this December, by launching a pair of Christmas jumpers.

The Wingate Centre, based in Wrenbury, is an independent charity that works with children and young people with all levels of physical and learning disabilities.

To raise funds, as well as to celebrate the festive period, the charity has teamed up with clothing brand Koala Pups, to produce two jumpers.

The jumpers have Wingate Centre branding as well as the typical Christmas theme, and all profits from their sale will go to the charity.

Rhiannon Vine, from the Wingate Centre, said the jumpers were the perfect way to support the charity.

She said: "The novelty Christmas jumper is a rite of passage for festive fanatics, 12 million of them will be sold this year alone.

"Working with Koala Pups, The Wingate Special Children’s Trust in Wrenbury have created two great jumper designs that celebrate both Christmas and the charity.

"The jumpers are available in all sizes with all profits going directly to The Wingate Centre.

"This year you can look super cool and be supporting a local charity at the same time."
