FIREFIGHTERS in Wem had an early start on Monday after they were called to a fire in the town.
The incident was reported at 12.25am, at an address in High Street, Wem.
Two crews from Wem and Prees were called to the fire, along with an operations officer.
The crews used a covering jet, a hosereel jet and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire, which was caused after a towel was left on a cooker.
The incident was dealt with around 30 minutes later.
