PLANS gave been submitted to Shropshire Council to change the use of an existing outbuilding at a Dudleston Heath property that currently serves as a home office into a residential setting.

The proposal, for Hollyleigh, outside Ellesmere, is to turn the outbuilding on the farm into a one-bedroom annex to be used by the site's owners, who no longer have use for the office.

A design and access statement, prepared by Roger Parry & Partners based in Oswestry, explained what changes will take place in the property,

It said: "The site layout has been designed to provide a one bedroom annex, while keeping the external design unchanged to retain the agricultural feel.

"The overall layout will remain unchanged.

"The overall size and scales of the proposed change of use will not change from the existing building.

"The footprint of the building will not change internally, as the design maximises the floor area of the traditional buildings."

It added: "The conversion of the farm building has already taken place following planning approval for a farm/home office, therefore the change of use will have no detrimental effect on the sites ecology."
