Nine pubs in north Shropshire have made the list of the best pubs in the UK.

CAMRA’s (Campaign for Real Ale) Good Beer Guide 2022 has been released and features the very best pubs for a pint in the country.

The list includes six pubs near WhitchurchEllesmere and Oswestry areas.

The Campaign for Real Ale is an independent voluntary organisation that promotes real ale, cider, perry and traditional British pubs and clubs.

Publishing the latest edition of their Good Beer Guide, CAMRA said: “Every pub or bar listed has been carefully selected by volunteers who have visited every one and tasted their beers.

“These experts know what makes a great pint of beer and which venues serve it best.

“Finding good pubs to drink in can be a bit of a nightmare.

“It’s not just about the beer, it’s also about the atmosphere and location.”
