THERE are several Covid-19 vaccination walk-in and pop-up clinics that north Shropshire residents can visit to receive first, second doses, and at some selected sites, booster jabs of the vaccine.
If you are aged 16 or 17, you are eligible for a first dose only of the Covid vaccine and can walk-in without an appointment.
If you are aged 18 and over, in an at-risk group, a carer or a frontline health and social care worker who has not yet had a vaccine, you can have your first vaccine dose, and if you had your first dose at least eight weeks ago, you can have your second without an appointment.
If you had your second dose at least six months (or a minimum of 182 days) ago you are now eligible for a Covid-19 booster jab. You don't need to have been notified by the NHS to walk-in or book an appointment via the national booking service for your booster.

For those aged 12 and over who are immunosuppressed a third primary dose should be given at least eight weeks after the second dose. You will be asked to provide proof of eligibility. Please note, you will still need to receive a booster dose six months (182 days) from the date of your third primary dose.
People should have the same type of vaccine for their second dose as for their first dose unless there are exceptional circumstances.
People should wait 28 days after a positive PCR test to have a first or second dose of the vaccination.
Women who are pregnant are advised to have the Pfizer (or Moderna) vaccination.
Please be aware that these vaccination clinics may be limited to an allocated number of vaccines. Vaccines will be given on a first come, first served basis. Clinics may close early if all allocated vaccine has been used.
